The concept for the Nervous project originated in Aaron Ciesielski's head at the end of 2018, in the midst of an existential crisis. What remains from this period of personal development is the music captured on the concept album Acquiescence, released on 28 July 2024.
Every element of Nervous' work was created independently by Aaron Ciesielski, starting with composition and production, and ending with mixing, mastering and artwork creation.
Nervous' music explores the extremes of black and death metal music combined with classical and prog rock influences. A unique blend of dissonance and harmony supports an intense emotional charge and thick atmosphere. Acquiescence presents the story of a man rebelling against his nature and fighting his own fears. The album culminates in an acquiescence to living in accordance with oneself.
