Metalfest - DAY 3!
Day 3
Ad Infinitum, Municipal Waste, Dalriada, Death Angel, Stratovarius, King Diamond
Ad Infinitum:
The rise of this band is nothing but a testament of hard work, resilience and being in the right place at the right time. Their strength comes from having a balance between good musicianship and the powerful and beautiful voice of Melissa Bonny. Their show at Metalfest this year was an absolute banger that was a wakeup call for the already tired crowd that was just starting to get ready for the last day of the festival.
Municipal Waste:
Then it was the time for Thrash metal to shine, and the charge was led by Municipal Waste, an American band that has become an icon of the new wave of American Thrash metal for quite sometime now, they delivered a solid show that the people that was still surviving the rainy weather took the time to appreciate.

Dalriada:
This was, I think my third time seeing them, these Hungarian pagan warriors never disappoint and were definitely the buffer band between the thrash metal hordes, their set was full of jumps, dance and in general a great pagan metal show. Even though we were still on the edge as the menacing clouds were about to hit us with rain once more, the crowd just continue singing and dancing along the pagan melodies delivered by Dalriada.

Death Angel:
It’s been many years since the last time I saw Death Angel, but for what I saw at Metalfest, they keep delivering a powerful live set that was dominated not only by the powerful vocals of Mark Osegueda, but the dynamic guitar playing of Rob Cavestany and Ted Aguilar. It was nice to listen tracks like; ‘I Came for Blood, The Dream Calls for Blood, The Moth, Relentless Revolution, Thrown to the Wolves / The Ultra-Violence’. The San Francisco quintet definitely delivered a great show that the Czech hordes received well and were content by the end of the day.
Stratovarius:
Third time I get to see the Finnish power metal house in less than one year, but hey, it’s not a complain. Their set was threatened by dark clouds that quicky dissipate to allow the sun to shine during their set, which was full of old favorites like; ‘Forever Free, Eagleheart, World on Fire, Eternity, Black Diamond, Visions (Southern Cross), Unbreakable and the iconic
Hunting High and Low’
I was surprised by Visions and Eternity as I don’t recalled seeing them live before. Definitely a nice set surprise for me personally.
King Diamond:
Unfortunately, Heaven Shall Burn had to cancelled their show as Marcus Bischoff felt ill the day before, definitely a bit of disappointment was found on such news, but we definitely understood and hope he gets well soon.
King Diamond set was the cherry on top to close Metalfest 2025.
