Josh Keech Returns With The 2nd Part Of His "Warrior In The Clouds" Project
Warrior In The Clouds Pt.2 is the follow-up to the first part released in 2022, to complete the "Warrior In The Clouds" project. Like Pt.1, it comprises many influences and styles; such as Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Blues Rock, Classical and even Progressive/folk. In terms of writing and composition, it is very similar to Pt.1, but with a few differences. All the songs were written at a similar timeframe (2015-19), and were developed throughout 2020 - today. I wanted it to sound like it is from the same project, but improving all aspects from the first part. It is all instrumental the same as the first part, and will be released on 25th August 2023.
I intend on having this project as the first of a trilogy of solo projects.
The tracks were written during a time in my life where I was in a bad place, I didn’t quite understand myself, which developed some vulnerability. I think that is reflected in the music, especially in the track “Never Forgotten, Never Forgiven”. The songs are a mix of happy upbeat, dark and menacing, groovy and fun, and sad. They have a special meaning to me, as they’re like therapy for me during that time.
It was recorded over a period of time (late July 2022 - late June 2023), which included a 3 month hiatus during winter. I recorded the EP again with my friends of Lilac Fall in their studio. Track 3 features guitar solos by my friend Euan Docherty, which were recorded at his home studio.

My name is Josh Keech, I’m 23, and I’m a YouTuber, guitarist, and musician. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 14, and I first started getting into music at 12. In 2022 I released my debut EP “Warrior In The Clouds Pt.1" to great success, receiving many PR opportunities including interviews and even reviews in reputable European Metal magazines. I later went on to make my own CD’s which are available to buy. Now I am here to bring you “Warrior In The Clouds Pt.2”, the second half of the “Warrior” project.
The intention was always to release this as a full length project, now it is complete. The EP will be released on 25th August 2023. With this solo project I hope to get my name out there as a talented young musician, with the ambition of having a career in music for the long term. I hope this release will help me get to the next level in my career. I think it shows what I can do and the potential I have for future projects.
