interview with Alkymenia
Alkymenia is no stranger to the Czech Republic or Slovakia. They have been to our countries several times in a row and more. They have a great friendship with the band XAge from Vysočina, when they went on a month-long tour of Brazil together at the beginning of this year.
Alan – Hi guys, how are you resting after the tour?
Lalo Silva – Ahoj Alan, it’s realy great for Us be here talking with you, We aprecieted a lot Czech Republic and Slovakia, specially Czech Republic is the place that We played more out our hometown Brazil, and for sure we have the best friends in CZ, We love so much Czech Republic and We feel at home there!!! So… about Our rest.. We are take a rest in the Studio here in Caruaru working everyday to release our new songs, recording new videoclips and preparing the next concerts, exactly we have some gigs in here Brazil and then we are waiting to go back in Europe for the new tour with Our friends from XAge!!!
Alan – For listeners and fans in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, how many years have you played here?
Lalo Silva – Our first concert in Europe were in Czech Republic, it was in 2012 at Ceske Budejovice and then every tour We have some gigs in CZ, so We have 4 Tours in 4 years, and all tours We played in Czech Republic.
Alan – Where in the Czech Republic and Slovakia have you been in the past years? And how do you like playing here?
Lalo Silva – We played in Tanvald, Mlada Boleslav and Havlickuv Brod, its really good to play there because We feel at home, the Metalheads smile, joke and make a lot noise with Us, this is really crazy because We feel like a big family.
Alan – Lotos is preparing a tour of Europe again in 2025 and you will also be in the Czech Republic, Moravia, and Silesia. Do you already know the approximate dates when we can see you?
Lalo Silva – We are so proud to be back, meet Our friends and make new friends there, the Tour will be at August, at this time I don’t have the dates of concerts, we will post the schedule in Our official pages on Instagram/Facebook… but You can’t wait for this, We will be together and it will be insane!!!
Alan – We are 100% looking forward to it and will definitely be doing some concerts alongside XAge. How did you become friends with the XAge band?
Lalo Silva – Yeahhhh!!! Alkymenia & X-Age (Love for the first View) hahahaha. That time Alkymenia had two concerts at the same night in different cities, and the second concert was with X-Age, We was so tired when We get the stage, X-Age was playing and the energy of this guys was crazy, they charged Our vibes and smiled a lot for Us, We had some mutual friends and We fell like Brothers, do you know? And that’s It, I think We are brothers in past lifes! hahahaha
Alan – At the beginning of the year, you went on a long tour of Brazil together. How did you manage to organize such a big tour?
Lalo Silva – Yes, It was uncredible! Was not hard to do this because X-Age is a good band and the Brazilian Metalheads love so much meet new bands and specially European Bands, We have a good relationship with promoters here because Alkymenia is a band who are on the road everytime here, We had preparing all the dates some months ago and finally We confirmed some concerts in the biggest Brazilian Carnival that is the some important traditional festivals here in Our culture, and the people loved so much enjoy Metal concerts in this festivals here, We had 12 concerts and some Radio interviews, It was really great for Us.
Alan – The guys from XAge have already described the tour to us. So if you can, give us some insights.
Lalo Silva - It was very nice be together, smiling, having fun, sharing the experience, introducing Brazilian foods, Was like a big dream for Us.
Alan – Do you have any funny experiences from performing?
Lalo Silva – I think that something funny is that the X-Age love to drive so fast. and sometimes Our driver was so shy and said for Us in Portuguese: The roads here is not the same in Europe, is better We relax and enjoy the trip! hahahaha
Alan – Were there any problems?
Lalo Silva – Yes my friend, unfortunately! Nothing is perfect and We had two big problems with the X-Age guys, one of this problem is that the X-Age din’t brong on the flight Our friends : Vasek, Jarda and Lenka… hahaha. The other problem was that 1 month was really short time to enjoy here and the time passes so fast!!! Hahahaha
Alan – How did the audience and other bands accept the music and the guys from XAge?
Lalo Silva – The Brazilian audience loved so much the music and the concert of X-Age, the guys are so friendy, We give a Brazilian flag to X-Age and every concerts this flag was on stage the Metalheads loved so much this and in the last concerts the audience here make some signatures in that flag for the guys remember the good moments here in the first Brazilian Tour.
Alan – Rumor has it that there will be a new album this year, 2025. Will you have it with you on the European tour?
Lalo Silva – Yes!! Sure!! We recorded this new album with new songs in Denmark, all the produce was made by Tue Madsen, that We are good friends and this guy is a good producer, He recorded good bands like; Meshuggah, Suicide Silence, The Haunted and others, At this time We are releasing some singles and Videoclips you can check this in Our channel on Youtube, Beetween June/July We have the full album released and We will play this new songs in the European Tour!!
