DobBroMan Interview
This year, 2026, DobBroMen releases a brand-new album after three years, called Whisky and Bullets, on the ZYX label. And I'm going to have a good time interviewing this artist again.
Alan – Hi, how are you doing?
DobBroMan - …. Thank you, I´m doing good so far…. It’s been a hot summer the last weeks….
Alan – We waited 3 years for the new album, which is absolutely fine. What did you cook for us?
DobBroMan - …. Yes Ive been writing and collecting my new Songs and Ideas and worked on it until I was Happy.
Alan – The release was handled by ZYX. How did you get to them? And what about the LP, will it be in time?
DobBroMan - …. With My Booker KS - Klaus Stracke music, that is my bridge to ZYX and all my bookings.
Alan – Briefly describe the songs. Both musically and lyrically.
One Bullet For You - …. that is a kind of AC/DC Rock Songs, with Power cords and a lot of Anger ha ha
Going Down Along The Line - …. A Americana kind Ballad, sharing Life with someone - not to walk along the way - Line…
and Faith in God…. to trust each other.
The 3 Brides And I - …. my Irish tune with the „3 Bridies“ a Group from Lanzarote - Canary Island, we played it in the Irish pub there, check out the you tube Video. You will see the fun
Butchers House - …. Blues meets Americana, a story with turning out pretty bloody
Drinking Whiskey - …. Passion of sharing a good Whisky with a friend - my Blues version for the Morning
Evil Woman - …. Dobro Blues, with a bad Story… we all met that evil Woman one Day ; )
Fighting With Angels - …. a Country Rock Song - feat. Heike Barth on Vocals. A Song about Faith and protection, following the Angels until the end of all times.
These worn-out shoes - …. Blues Rock, we all got that old T-shirt we don’t want to throw away… and that old Guitar still we like to play….
Lonesome Road - …. Slow Song of Passion, at the end we will walk the lonesome road alone.
Song For Rory - …. the Instrumental Dobro Song is dedicated to Rory Gallagher - 30 Years after his death… Anniversary
The Goal - …. a quiet Song with a deep Story - of Faith, peace, death and life… we all need to see the final Goal at the end.
Dobro Heart - …. that is a blues / Dobro tune I did with my new 30 Year old Dobro GERTI… that has been in somebody’s house for 30 Years not been used - and I bought it…so that is my Dobro Heart Song
You Must Leave Behind - …. that song takes about leave the old and negative, bad people behind… we need to look forward, it is hard to change bad, gready People
Alan – What about the ZZ Top link? Where did you record it?
DobBroMan - …. there are wonderful guess it is the Gibson SG Guitar with Fender Champ Amp sound makes it.
Alan – In 2026, I noticed you didn't do much touring, but there were some pretty big names you played with. Suzi Quatro etc...... Tell us a little bit about it.
DobBroMan - …. yes I will play an exclusive Gig, as opener for „Suzi Quadro“ with my Bass player Otto Kählig together the Sa. 11th July 26 in Groß Heubach, what a great privilege - looking forward it will be amazing.
Alan – Do you still enjoy traveling by train? Any interesting things from your travels in the last three years?
DobBroMan - …. some time it is terrible when they are all to late, I was lately more that 4,5 h late with 3 different trains on one day somewhere in the middle of nowhere… absolute annoying.
Alan – In the three years since we last did an interview together. Do you have any funny experiences?
DobBroMan - …. to many late trains…. And sometimes crazy gigs
Alan – Are you still not in the form of European Christmas? XaXaXa
DobBroMan - …. we`il see... no Plans yet.
Alan – In the last three years, what are your biggest successes? Apart from the new album.
DobBroMan - …. It was great to do a Queen Song Cover Version of „Freedome Train“ for a Tribute to Queen`s INNUENO CD Sampler… for the Queen Fan Club in Germany. And finished my new CD „Whisky And Bullets“… I think it turned out great… I like to play some of the new Songs now live in my new Setlist.
Alan – What interesting performances have you had in the last few years?
DobBroMan - …. playing with the 3 Bridies in Lanzarote for the Release of the Video and Single was amazing
Alan – Are you planning to go to the Czech Republic or Slovakia in 2027?
DobBroMan - …. I always like to play there, Czech Republic- especially „Prag“ is one of my favourite City in the world- I love the People and architecture, Culture.
