CARTOGRAPHS release captivating first single from anticipated debut album
Today the Copenhagen based post-rock band CARTOGRAPHS release their first single ‘Peace was never mine to be found’. The song is included on their upcoming debut album ‘Wilt & Blossom’, to be released on March 1st 2019.

With their new single CARTOGRAPHS show that they've started a new chapter since starting their musical journey in 2014. Guitarist Caspar Schaap explains, “We have taken a much more genuine approach to the songwriting, wanting to write genuine pieces of music rather than just songs or tunes. The music is now much more grounded, much more organic than before and much more atmospheric. We feel like we have found our roots. We have put out hands in the dirt and found something primal in us all.” He continues, “We have come a long way since we started out. All our experiences both personally and as a band has led us here. This is what we are meant to be.”

With the upcoming release of their anticipated debut album in March 2019, the group is set to make the next step as a band. The album is live recorded to come as close as possible in capturing the intensity of a CARTOGRAPHS live show, and it's produced by the talented Chris Kreutzfeldt (Cabal, Møl, Ghost Iris)

Originally formed in 2014, with a more metallic and atmospheric sound, CARTOGRAPHS has since grown into something more compelling with influences from black metal and post-rock. Since their inception the band has already released three singles, and an EP entitled ‘Safe Travels’, as well as toured most of Europe playing alongside acts such as Comeback Kid (CA), Bane (US), Being As An Ocean (US), Desolated (UK) to name a few.

Their debut album ‘Wilt & Blossom’ will be released through Prime Collective on March 1st 2019.
